Rowelec Ltd. is delighted to announce that we have been awarded the contract to carry out the first phase of electrical works on a Midlands-based Automotive Components supplier’s new facility.
The contract for a new manufacturing plant includes engaging and liaising with Western Power to organise the upgrade of the incoming supply, plus the installation and commissioning a new high voltage ring main, transformers and switchgear, LV panels and sub mains.
Daylight Harvesting – the green way forwards
Rowelec also has to supply and install the latest in energy efficient LED lighting, with daylight harvesting; this is the way that new green buildings are designed to collect and utilise natural daylight in the interior of buildings, when available, to reduce the need for energy-consuming artificial lighting.
The company’s award of the 1st phase of the works was not only due to price, but also due to Rowelec’s longstanding relationship with the client who, based on their experience with previous contracts, felt safe in their knowledge that the strict deadlines for the key stages of the installation will be met. Works are due to start mid-June and run through until September; during this period there are several key milestones to be achieved to ensure the client keeps within their very tight program.
“We are looking forward to starting the work in the next few weeks” said Rowelec Director Richard Rowley. “A lot of time and planning has gone into this contract so it will be good to finally be able to get on site and prove that we can meet the goals and objectives laid down for us. We would like to wish the client good luck with this expansion project!“
The project is estimated to take 3 months to complete.
